NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation) is a Medicaid benefit that covers transportation to and from covered medical appointments for eligible members who have no other means of getting there.

Who Qualifies?
Medicaid NEMT is available to enrolled members who meet these criteria
Active Medicaid Enrollment
You must be currently enrolled in New York State Medicaid (fee-for-service or managed care plan).
Covered Medical Appointment
The trip must be to a Medicaid-covered medical service — doctor, specialist, dialysis, therapy, lab, pharmacy, and more.
No Other Transportation
You must have no other means of transportation available (no car, no family/friend who can drive, unable to use public transit).
