Faith Is Not What We Do
On Sundays
It is what we do at 3 AM when a patient is struggling to breathe. It is what we do when we hold the hand of a frightened senior during transport. It is what we do when we pray silently in the cab between calls.

This verse is not just on our wall — it is in our hearts. Every member of the Metro Care Response team, from dispatch to the back of the ambulance, understands that our work is ministry. We do not just transport patients. We carry the love of Christ into the hardest moments of people's lives.
Chaplain Services

Our chaplaincy program provides spiritual care, emotional support, and prayer for patients, families, and our own team members — because healing is not just physical.
On-Scene Spiritual Care
Our chaplains are available to provide immediate spiritual comfort and prayer for patients, families, and crew members during and after emergency calls.
Hospital & Facility Visits
Scheduled chaplain visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and dialysis centers to offer prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear to patients and staff.
Crew Wellness & Debriefing
Confidential spiritual counseling and stress debriefing sessions for EMS personnel who face traumatic calls and emotional challenges on the job.
End-of-Life Comfort
Compassionate presence and prayer for patients and families during critical end-of-life transports, honoring dignity and faith in the final journey.
Community Prayer Circles
Monthly prayer gatherings open to the Bronx community, bringing together neighbors, first responders, and healthcare workers in fellowship.
Bereavement Support
Ongoing spiritual and emotional support for families who have lost loved ones, including memorial services and grief counseling referrals.

Free Blood Pressure Screenings
Monthly community health events offering free blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, and heart health education at local churches and community centers.
Senior Wellness Checks
Weekly home visits to elderly residents in the Bronx, providing wellness assessments, medication reminders, and companionship for isolated seniors.
Youth EMS Education
Free CPR and first aid training for Bronx high school students, inspiring the next generation of healthcare heroes and building community resilience.
Back-to-School Health Fair
Annual event providing free school physicals, vision screenings, and backpacks with health supplies for underserved Bronx families.
Holiday Meal Delivery
Partnering with local churches to deliver Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to homebound patients, seniors, and families in need across the Bronx.
Faith-Based Health Workshops
Quarterly workshops at local churches combining health education with spiritual encouragement, covering diabetes, heart health, and mental wellness.
